Award Winning Cuisine
& Impeccable Service

On a cold November night in 1898 a raging storm swept over the island. From the wreckage of the schooners in the Menemsha Harbor, wood was salvaged and a small beautiful home was built on top of the hill. In 1952, Theresa and Warren Morse, a New York couple looking for a simpler lifestyle purchased the home and soon after opened the Beach Plum Inn & Restaurant.

Today, the Beach Plum Inn & Restaurant remains a small inn overlooking the sea in Menemsha where warm hospitality and outstanding cuisine combine in a naturally beautiful setting to assure guests a delightful vacation.

Located on seven acres, the Inn offers spectacular sea views, formal gardens and privacy for those who wish. Its eleven rooms are either in the main house or private cottages, some with ocean views, all comfortable and lovingly furnished with air-conditioning, cable television, private baths, touch tone telephones with voice mail and many other amenities.

To while away the days, swimming on beautiful private ocean beaches. Tennis on the Menemsha Inn's all-weather court. Croquet with a view on our own USCA approved court. Two fine public golf courses nearby. Fishing by charter, party boat or surf casting. Excellent horseback riding on breathtaking trails and beaches. Sailing for the novices, as well as experts. Bicycle on the 15 mile bike path through woods and along the sea. Beachcombing, bird watching, hiking, and, of course, wonderful rustic areas for running. And at the end of the day, nothing compares to our beautiful sunsets.
