From the wreckage of the schooners in the Menemsha Harbor, wood was salvaged and a small beautiful home was built on top of the hill. In 1952, Theresa and Warren Morse, a New York couple looking for a simpler lifestyle purchased the home and soon after opened the Beach Plum Inn & Restaurant. oday, the Beach Plum Inn & Restaurant remains a small inn overlooking the sea in Menemsha where warm hospitality and outstanding cuisine combine in a naturally beautiful setting to assure guests a delightful vacation. ocated on seven acres, the Inn offers spectacular sea views, formal gardens and privacy for those who wish.
